Dartmouth College Class of 1962
A Generation of Commitment "Good friends are worth the effort"

Home Page

Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome to the Class of 1962 web site, where we drink again from the cup of fellowship, fondly remember our transformation from pea-green freshmen to grand old seniors and renew our commitment to the values we imbibed (some more literally than others) within the gleaming, dreaming walls of Dartmouth.

The site is a work-in-progress, so bear with us. To navigate, "mouse over" the three headings above (Classmates, Class News and Archives) to reveal pull-down menus. If the menu item turns green (what else?) when you mouse-over, it means the link is active (such as 'Class Newsletters' recently activated). If not, be patient, we're working on it. Click on blue text for related links. If you have suggestions or comments regarding the site, send us an e-mail by clicking here or on one of the names below.

50th CLASS REUNION -- June 8-12, 2012

From Reunion Chairs Bill Pierce and Dick Brooks:

The dates of our most important and much anticipated class reunion ever are Friday June 8 until Tuesday June 12,2012.

Highlights of the reunion will include forums on relevant and thought provoking topics with participation by our Class experts and selected Dartmouth faculty, including a session on Dartmouth's critical role in improving the country's health care delivery system. In addition, we will meet with Dr. Kim and members of the Dartmouth Board of Trustees during lunch on Saturday.

Other highlights include a presentation by class videographer Ross Burkhardt, a visit with Dean Thad Seymour and his wife Polly, presentation of a painting by our Class artist Bob Aiken, and the opportunity to march with the Class of 2012 at the Commencement on Sunday.  There will be a scheduled golf outing, tennis tournament, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and biking.  Most of all, we will renew old friendships meet new friends and acquaintances.

Because the 50th Reunion occurs over graduation weekend, lodging in and around Hanover will be at a premium for those not choosing to use the College dorms assigned to us. Lodging information can be found at:

http://alumni.dartmouth.edu/events/uppervalleylodging and http://www.hanoverchamber.org/

We urge you to make reservations for lodging at your earliest convenience.   The College will provide comfortable and reasonable dorm accommodations in the East Wheelock dorms across from the Alumni Gym. They are pretty nice, as many recall from our 40th, and will be reasonably priced.

The Class of ’56 holds the record for attendance at a 50th reunion, 295 (49% of living alumni). Let's strive to break it with 300+ '62s!  Try reaching reach out to at least one classmate to join you. Let's show our pride and return to The Green in June 2012.
